Recently my husband and I got back from Costa Rica/Nicaragua and had a few weeks to get our classrooms in order before embarking on our annual trip back to Wisconsin.
We are currently loving our time in the good ole midwest with family and friends feasting on lots and lots of cheese, corn on the cob and all the other good stuff we crave when we are at home and dreaming of our next visit.
So here is a little peek at the work we put in over the summer to make our classrooms amazing and up to snuff for the new school year.
So here's a little TBT (throwbackthursday) moment to last years bulletin board. I know its not really Thursday, but it just sounds better than memory lane Monday ;)
And now for this year's theme:
Didn't this turn out soo CUTE!! I was thrilled when I realized I could use my dollar store crayons to make the bulletin board 3D.
I also picked up this handy printable on TPT created by Creative in Kinder. I loved that it included a sign and banner and it was very resonably priced. In fact, its on sale RIGHT NOW, so you check it out and pick it up for a whooping 80 cents!
And here is the elementary bulletin board I just completed.
And now, here's a little sneak peak of what my hubby's been working on in his new room
He recently got promoted to the middle school teaching position so he's gonna be taking over 6th,7th and 8th grades.
I cannot get enough of this board! ISN'T IT AMAZING!!!
He decided to add inspirational quotes from famous people and make them look like tweets. I'll admit it wasn't his original idea, but I absolutely love his interpretation of it!!!!
I am one proud wifey!
And this my friends is his hallway bulletin board. UMMM can I say AMAZING!!! (again??)
There's my hunky hubby getting ready for next year.
This is one of his orignal ideas that I think is really cool and inspirational. Since we work in a Christian school, its totally acceptable and encouraged to incorporate our faith into every aspect of teaching. This is his prayer door (outside his classroom) where students can write anonymous prayers and praise reports.
And last but not least, his amazing wall decal. I love how easy it is to order custom decals online now. I think this verse is pretty appropriate for middle school. They are going to need some major courage to get through all of that homework!
(Thank God I teach elementary! Grateful I don't have to do so much grading!)
And on that note, I would just like to wish you all a wonderful summer! I hope your planning is going well and you are getting refreshed and inspired!
