And That's A Wrap Folks

So I know its been awhile since I last posted and I apologize. It has been so crazy these past few weeks. We had a spring cleaning day at our school on Saturday, March 8th and then on Saturday, March 15th we had an elementary open house and carnival which was amazing (more on that later). On top of that report cards were due this past Friday, so I have been one busy little lady!

I wanted to share the finished products from my students country studies. After we completed our Around the World unit, I had each of my students choose a country to study and home and then teach the class about.

We wrapped up our country study with a trip to Australia. One of the moms at our school is a native Australian and she agreed to come in and share.
She put together the most amazing powerpoint that included the most interesting facts. The kids thought it was Fantastic!

Isn't she the cutest? That is a hat from Australia, the wine corks help hit the flies away.

The kids made digeridoos using craft paper and large cardboard tubes.

Here are a few samples of the kids country reports.

Russia

This student taught us that Russia actually is the only country that spans two continents.

I was very impressed! This student actually wrote the words in Russian.

I love the captions! In case you can't read it, the tiger is saying "Raaa" and the ant is saying "ahh". Too funny!

 China

Get a load of this panda! Ohmyword! So adorable!!

Thailand

France

Here is one of my students completed travel journals. It turned out so great! I am very proud!

And to top it all off, we had a blast this week celebrating St. Patrick's Day. When the kids came into our classroom, they had a little surprise from the "lepracons."
Every other year I've had the lepracons make a giant green mess in our classroom and I knew the kids would remember from last year, so I decided to switch it up and have our little friends clean our room and decorate it nicely.

Sweet treats for the kiddos! (bags of lucky charms)

Have a fantastic end of your weekend. One week until spring break AND COUNTING!!!!
